Javon Moore, 23, has been arrested and charged in connection to the fatal shooting of Tyron Avent after getting into a disagreement and subsequently fleeing the shooting scene before officers arrived, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.

At around 5:30 p.m. on April 11, officers were called to the area of Neptune Avenue and Audrey Lane to investigate a reported shooting, where they found Avant suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. On Wednesday, officials announced Moore's arrest.

Investigators say that the two knew each other.

Moore was arrested this week and charged with first- and second-degree murder, as well as other related offenses. He's being held in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
